    What You Will Do


    GeoDecisions is looking for a full time Database Administrator for a position at Scott Air Force Base in O'Fallan, IL.



    • Work as part of a software sustainment team
    • Support developers and testers in troubleshooting database problems.
    • Work with the systems administrators to upgrade and replace existing systems baselines
    • Maintain DISA STIG compliance on the database environments
    • Perform/enhance backup and recovery strategy using Oracle RMAN
    • Use SQL to perform data mining activities as required
    • Attend project status meetings as required
    • Provide on-call support as required

    Minimum Qualifications

    • BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field desired.
    • 1-5 years experience administering databases desired
    • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
    • Ability to manage tasks and timelines effectively
    • Demonstrable ability to work as part of an integrated solution sustainment team
    • Security+ certification required
    • Must have a security clearance
    • Experience working in a cloud environment desired
    • AWS associate level certification or higher is desired


    Technical Skills:

    • Experience working with Oracle relational database management systems is required
    • Linux/Unix experience strongly recommended
    • Experience with Oracle RMAN and ESRI ArcGIS experience desirable, but not required
    • Ability to use SQL to troubleshoot and optimize database performance
    • Knowledge of Python is a plus
