What You Will Do

Gannett Fleming is currently seeking a Mid to Senior-Level Developer to work in either our Camp Hill, PA or our Raleigh, NC office.  This is a temp to full-time position.  The Mid to Senior–Level Developer would join a team of developers supporting our current development activities. The responsibilities entail the design and development of applications, data maintenance and processing toolsets, web functionality, among other project activities that offer daily diversity to a developer’s experiences.  This exciting opportunity provides for an individual to grow their career while working with a motivated project team, in a dynamic, fun work environment.

Responsibilities

• This is a position with duties surrounding all phases of software life-cycle development
• Design and implement geospatial applications ranging in size from small multi department to complex enterprise wide
• Follow current best practices to meet specifications outlined in requirements
• Will participate in the effort of the analysis and design, coding and implementation/on-going support of applications
• Communicate with other members of development team to coordinate related tasks required in the analysis, design, coding and testing of new or existing functionality in applications
• Lead junior developers on projects to mentor their growth and abilities
• Design and maintenance of database structures/procedures and backend services used in applications
• Operate in a high-performance culture noted for accountability, trust and open communications
• Maintain and improve coding skills by keeping abreast of latest development technology, practices, procedures and toolsets
• Provide support and integration functionality for third party applications where applicable
• Assist with project scoping and proposal development as needed
• Assist in Unit/Automated testing of applications
• Other tasks outlined by development manager

Minimum Qualifications

• a four-year degree in Computer Science or related field
• 6+ years development experience
• Experience with GIS and Esri software preferred
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
• Ability to manage tasks and timelines effectively
• Ability to manage project and daily tasks effectively
• Quality interpersonal communication skills
• A positive, team-oriented attitude and ability to stay focused in a fast-paced, rapid development environment

Technical Skills

• Proficiency with C#, .NET 4+, AngularJS and Angular, MVC, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, SQL Server and/or Oracle, HTML, Source Control, Unit Testing required
• Experience with WCF, Entity Framework or nHibernate, Knockout, AJAX, SSIS, SSRS, Scrum, JSON, Bootstrap 3.x+, TFS preferred
